Who We Are

Solid Rock Lawn & Landscape, LLC is a small family owned and operated business serving the Tidewater area with high quality, reasonably priced landscape work for over 19 years. We offer a full range of landscape services for your home or business - from landscape design to snow removal and everything in between.

Roger Heffington had always been involved in things outdoors whether a building project, landscape project, or vegetable garden. Along the way he worked for Busch Gardens Williamsburg in both the entertainment and landscape divisions. He started a successful "part time" lawn maintenance company in 1989 while teaching in the Virginia Beach public schools. After 13 years of teaching and ministry Roger found himself at a cross roads. His position was being eliminated, he had accumulated a lot of experience in landscaping (and other outdoor trades) and had 6 children and a wife to provide for. It was time to take the plunge. On Labor Day, 2003, Solid Rock Lawn & Landscape, LLC was established.  Our business name is a constant reminder of our true employer, Jesus Christ, the Solid Rock.
